Come Along On Our Camper Adventures!

Travel day with a small side of exploring

Saturday we broke camp in Mackinaw City and headed to Travers City. Two of our guys got up early and headed to St. Ignace for a classic car show that just happed to be in town this weekend. We have been seeing a lot of classic cars driving around this week and a little bit of internet research was all it took to find out why. While there were there, the remaining 3 of us started cleaning and packing up.

Our drive today was only about 2 hours so we tried to wander into some towns along the way, but dogs not permitted on some beaches and limited parking while pulling the camper got in our way. We pulled into our site for the next 4 nights, KOA Traverse City exactly at our 2pm check in time. Set up was quick so we set off to do a little exploring.

We headed out to the Arcadia Overlook, Inspiration Point on Lake Michigan. A quick walk up and an amazing views!

We then headed north along the scenic drive and drove through Frankfurt and along part of Crystal Lake. We stopped at a couple random public lake access points to admire the views and the real estate and happened upon a lighthouse.

We headed back for dinner at our campsite and the worst part of traveling in a home on wheels… laundry. I hate the small washers in the campsite laundromats. 5 loads of laundry and dryers that take forever. Joe promises our next camper will have a washer/dryer in it 🤞😂
