So housing 3 kids (including a teenager) in a bunk room that is roughly 49 sq feet with only one closet took some planning.
I purchased 2 of these hanging closet organizers so that each of the kids had four “cubbies” to store their clothes on our trips.
I also purchased a hanging shoe rack for the inside of the closet door, hooks for the outside of the door to hold bigger/bulkier sweatshirts, and baskets for the top of the closet to hold sunglasses, baseball hats, masks, etc.
I was ready. Everything looked organized and I still had room on the closet floor for their dirty hiking boots. But 600 miles into our trip on day 2, the combination of the weight of their clothes and sway of the trailer on bumpy midwest roads, and the damn hooks just snapped off 🤦🏻♀️.
So now we are stuck with this mess (one still hanging and the boys clothes in laundry baskets) until Joe can MacGyver a fix for these. He has a plan, we just need to find a Home Depot. Stay Tuned!!!!
