We headed out for our first camping weekend of the 2022 last month and it wasn’t the best. We had planned a weekend with friends who were bringing out their upgraded camper for the first time and our nephew joined us on this trip. Who would have though we’d have a nor’easter in mid-March. We camped local at French Creek State Park. Joe and the boys have tent camped here a bunch of times with the scouts and we have hiked here, but this was our first time here with the camper. Friday night we arrived and set up, spent some time with our friends and made s’mores. Then the storm moved in overnight. It was snowing with wind chills in the single digits all day Saturday. Early Sunday brought freezing rain and ice. We could barely get Charlie out to go to the bathroom, so needless to say we didn’t get out at all. Lots of movies, games and indoor catching up with our good friends! Breaking camp Sunday was an adventure. Cleaning snow and ice off the camper, slide, truck and my car. Our tanks froze overnight too so we couldn’t dump for a couple of days until they thawed out. Joe learned a lot and I
learned maybe it would have been a better idea just to cancel the weekend 😂❄️🌨🥶
Next up…. spring Break in Washington DC!
