Come Along On Our Camper Adventures!

Spring Break – Washington DC

We headed to our nations capital today for spring break. The kids have been asking to go so we booked 4 nights at a site in College Park, MD- Cherry Hill Park. Only about 45 minute drive to get into DC from here. We drove in tonight for dinner and some sunset touring of the National Mall. Tomorrow will we use public transit to get in and out so we don’t have to deal with parking. This campsite is super cute and of course, the kids want to come back in the summer when they can use the pools and water slides.

The National Mall was beautiful tonight and the rain held off until we got back in the truck heading “home”. We will explore more tomorrow!

We stopped by the WWII veterans memorial and looked up our grandfathers names.

And don’t be shocked, we found an ice cream stop! This one shared a name with my dad, so we had to check it out.

Charlie did not join us on this trip. We knew it would be long days and late nights and we didn’t want her spending so much time alone. She is enjoying her own vacation at Animal Resorts back in PA.
