We loved finding this great spot at Delaware Seashore State Park. It was nestled right at the base of the Indian River Inlet Bridge where the Indian River and Rehobeth Bay meets the Atlantic. We had 2 great beach days and a partial rainy day filled with movies, games and an after rain hike at Burton Island Nature Preserve (which we don’t recommend – too many flys and bugs!). The beach was such a short walk from our campground we couldn’t have picked a better spot if we tried.
Bethany Beach Boardwalk/Town were only 10 minutes away so we headed there for dinners shopping, fudge, ice cream! We had some visitors to our site this morning too. Mama turtles were digging and laying eggs. We saw 2 of them! This park books out a year in advance and we are already booking a weekend for next June.
Charlie had her last long camper stretch to get ready for the long west coast trip. She’s doing better but still a nervous pup!
13 days until 1/2 our crew head out to the West Coast!
