Come Along On Our Camper Adventures!

Day 2 – Luray and Shenandoah National Park

Day 2 started early with a visit to Luray Caverns. Beautiful site and our 4th cave we have visited in the last 4 years. Our favorites were Miror Lake and The Organ Room. Pictures would help… and my oldest is working on moving my blog to a new site so stay tuned!

After lunch we headed to Shenendoah NP. After a stop at the visitors center, we did the 100 mile drive on Skyline Drive. Not our favorite and while it did provide some great mountain views, we are accustomed to the mountains and valleys of the east coast, so it didn’t provide the wow factor of the west coast parks. July heat also brought some humid, hazy skies. This is park number 28 for us. Too hot and humid for hiking so Joe decided Day 4 would involve the water. We stopped on the way home for pizza and ice cream so ended the night on a good note.

Charlie has been settling into camper life again. She keeps watch over the place while we are out.
