Day 19 started at our campsite on the Great Salt Lake. We were literally parked at a marina on the lakeshore. The lake was beautiful and huge and we definitely wanted to float in it! An experience for sure, but we all had the same opinion. It was kinda gross. There were a million (I tend to exaggerate, but I promise, I’m not) tiny gnat bugs all over the sand and water. So whenever you got out of the water, they would fly to you and stick to you. There were also a million dead ones floating in the water as it washed ashore. So – we all had fun checking out the lake and floating was really cool, but it was a quick stop, followed by much needed showers before we departed. Anyone heading here – it’s a quick stopover and don’t plan on more than 1/2 day.
We set off for our home for the next 3 nights, Bryce Canyon. The drive through Utah was amazing! We drove through Red Canyon to get here and we definitely need to head back for a longer view before we leave. It was breathtaking!!
Camp side steak dinner prepared by our summer chef and tomorrow we explore a new park!
