Come Along On Our Camper Adventures!

Day 12 – Another 8.5 hours in Yellowstone!

We moved sites today to the West Gate of Yellowstone. The KOA we were heading to had early check in at 11, so Joe and I cleaned the camper this morning while everyone slept in and Joe and C made breakfast. The outdoor griddle option we added is one of my favorites. No mess or heat on inside the camper. We have been doing most of our cooking outside. We drove west, set up, had lunch and headed in for another long day. Today we explored the northwest side which was mostly geothermal with some rocks and waterfalls thrown in. We packed dinner to cook in the park at a picnic site and we “think” we saw a herd of moose on the way home. We were pretty far away, so we are going with an all female group b/c there were definitely no antlers. Our daughter does NOT like the sulfer smell of the geothermal vents. That was the biggest complaint of the day. Her and I needed to take a break on a bench today while the boys explored more. They were gone about and hour and she said (in the most serious voice) “they’ve been gone a long time, I hope they didn’t get eaten by a bear” 🤦🏻‍♀️ I couldn’t make this up if I tried. Check out some of our views from today!

What’s the verdict? Are these moose??? Moose is the #1 animal on my must see list!

Driving back home… I’m amazed at how light it is at 9:50pm here.
