Come Along On Our Camper Adventures!

Day 10 – Charlottetown and our last full day in PEI

Monday was our last full day in PEI. We started by heading to the beach with 2 of our kids. The middle teen wanted to hang back with his grandparents. We hit Cavendish Beach at the PEI National Park for a couple of hours. The clay colored sand makes for a unique red colored mud and the tide brings in rocks, very different from the shells we are used to seeing at the DE and NJ shores. The water was cold in the Gulf of St Lawrence, so it was a chilly swim for our oldest and youngest with Joe. But the baby loves to be in the water and she has a blast!

After lunch we headed down to Charlottetown, the capital city of PEI. Very cute seaside town that reminded us of Cape May, NJ. We strolled the streets and waterfront, had ice cream at COWS, popped into a bunch of shops and stopped at a Tiki Bar on the water for some cold drinks. Today was the hottest day so far on this stop.

Back at the camper, it was a campfire and s’mores night. Tomorrow we break down and head for Halifax, NS.

Oh – and we had a visit from the tooth fairy here in Canada and she leaves foreign currency when not in the country… who knew!
