We hit the Shenandoah River for Pam’s version of high adventure, booking 2 canoes and 1 kayak with Shenandoah River Outfitters. We went 7 miles down the river , stopping for lunch and swimming along the way. The water levels are extremely low, so lots of pushing off rocks and getting stuck. Some points were as low as 10 inches in the middle of the river. Joe said it was some of the lowest he has ever canoed in. The views were great though, arguably better than the skyline drive views. Day 4, we break camp and head to The Great Smokies in Tennessee.
