5 years ago yesterday (6.20.21), we started off on our first adventure in our Home on Wheels and headed out on a 6 week trip covering a good chunk of national parks and monuments across Ohio, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah and Arizona. We have since hit 40 of the lower 48 states, 30 of the 63 national parks and 2 Canadian Provinces. We have taken weekend trips to beaches and state parks with friends and traveled to see family for holidays. We have visited iconic sites and quirky landmarks and factory tours all over the country. Last year we took a break from camper life for an amazing 2 week international adventure to Japan.
Today we are back out on another summer adventure and we are lucky that all 3 kiddos can still (mostly willingly) come along! We also have our co-pilot dog Charlie on the road with us. Rather than leaving from our home base, we spent a quick weekend in Western New York with Joe’s family for his parents 50th Anniversary. We are on the road now heading from NY to Detroit to start our trip and then exploring a good bit of Michigans lower peninsula.
