Come Along On Our Camper Adventures!

DC day 2

Some of us slept in today (ok it was me) and we had a nice breakfast to start the day. Unfortunately we decided to drive into the city today and it was crazy with traffic, no street parking, road closures and garages that our giant truck wouldn’t fit in. So we jumped out of the city and headed to Arlington. We got turned around with GPS and ended up 2 miles from Arlington National Cemetery the same time that the President was flying out of the Pentagon for the weekend. So we got to see Marine 1 on the ground, sit in a road closure, but got to see the motorcade drive by which was pretty cool.

We finally got to Arlington National Cemetery which was amazing. Such a special and reverent site in our nations capital. The kids enjoyed it and we took the on-site tram to hit all the sites.

We ended the day at a great southern restaurant in Arlington Tupelo Honey Cafe. Excellent food and service!
