Three jet-lagged travelers and two travelers just off of a 2,700 mile drive… we thought we would take it easy today. So we did over 6 miles of walking and 16,000 steps in Muir Woods and The Golden Gate Bridge 😂 Maybe not so easy. The jet lagged teenage boys were fast asleep by 8:30 pm.
We started our day at Muir Woods. It is a quieter park with beautiful redwood trees. Easy hike on a boardwalk and then slight elevation into the canopy of the trees. They had a beautiful section called Cathedral Grove which is a refuge of peace and quiet. Much calmer than some of the other national monuments we have visited.
Next we moved onto The Golden Gate Bridge. Joe and I visited San Francisco on our 1st Wedding Anniversary in 2005 and we were excited to show the kids some of our favorites from our trip including a walk across the bridge. We attempted to recreate a picture from our last trip… wrong spot, but you can definitely tell we are 17+ years older!
