Come Along On Our Camper Adventures!

New State, New Time Zone, and Tombstone, AZ

We left Arizona today for New Mexico and stopped in Tombstone on the way. We have heard mixed reviews about Tombstone, but all the boys have seen the movie and Old Tucson has been closed for 2 years so we figured we would jump off I10 and check it out. It was deserted (most likely due to it being the off season in the desert). We walked the town, took a carriage ride and Joe and the kids went to the shootout show at the OK Coral while I sat with Charlie. It was an ok stop. Might have been better if there was more activity or crowds and it was a little cheesy for us. Not on our list to return to, but another spot crossed off our list. The boys did think it was neat seeing some of the scenes from the movie.

We arrived in Las Cruces for 2 nights, then moving further east in New Mexico for 2 more nights. We were in NM for a hot second last summer when we visited 4 corners, so we are excited to explore some of the national parks in this state. Hopefully the good luck we had with weather in Arizona follows us on our way east. We hear it’s been pretty toasty back at home!
